The Day Dawns

It was a nice foggy morning with the Sun just up in the sky after loading the truck for Farmers market. There was just enough time for a quick walk with the camera before it was time to leave. I think the camera did a good job of capturing the beauty of the dawn.

Had a nice afternoon float down the Mississippi river with some neighbors yesterday.

There were pretty reflections off the water as Jerry and Iona canoed along the eastern bank of the Mississippi river.

A pretty picture with fall colors along the banks of the Mississippi river as canoes and a kayak head downriver. Bob’s in his homemade wooden canoe. The other canoeists are John and Joyce and, Jerry and Iona. W is in the kayak.

After the trip, we all gathered at Gwen and W’s house for a potluck supper. What a nice afternoon trip and good food!

Township Day

Today is the day of the Township Annual meeting so I was to the town hall this morning and started a fire in the wood stove so it’d be warm and comfy for the meeting. Have the coffee pot out and all ready to go.

Here are a couple of pictures of our little town hall:

The hall was built about 30 years ago by a long time township resident who also served as clerk for 48 years before retiring.

This photo was take just off of the south field so the dead grass along the edge of the field is in the foreground. Clouds in the sky changed colors and shape from moment to moment. Made for some interesting pics.
